Govetto: “No more performances like last Sunday, we know who we are and what we can really do”

“Because no dîs nie ma nancje no tas”. In the heart and mind of the pugnacious rossoblù patrol, eager to get back to being loud after last Sunday's loud défaillance at the Barison, pragmatism stands out (linguistic and more) of one of the proudest representatives of the nourished community Friulian stationed in the City of Victory. Protagonist of a season so far nothing short of Dante – in the hell of a disputed disqualification, the purgatory of accidents and a paradise made of 2 networks and 6 assist in 11 championship tokens – the blondie in shirt number 9 Elena Govetto is ready to rejoin the ranks of the roster of Mr. Massimo Zoni in this dense whirlwind of commitments towards the end of the season.

The lead of Santa Maria di Sclaunicco prepares to play the charge, after serving the two rounds of stoppage imposed on her by the Sports Judge for the red received from the bench in the penultimate home round against Oristano. We feel the sensations and moods from Elena in the Permac dressing room, a few hours after the obstinate commitment of the twentieth day (return seventh) in Mattarello on the field of Trento.

With Venezia came an empty passage as difficult to digest as difficult to explain, in its sad entirety. View from the outside, what feelings left you there “not performance” last Sunday in the derby?
The defeat of seven days ago is really hard to comment, in practice there was no match and it is as if we had given up on facing the dispute from the beginning. In fact, only one team was seen on the pitch, for our part we have not been able to build a noteworthy action, limiting ourselves to suffer the continuous offensive attacks in the heart of our rearguard. Honor to Venice, who put in a determination and a desire to play commendable from every point of view, but our passivity cannot be justifiable. We have done everything possible wrong, from the attitude to the most basic technical gestures: it was frustrating not being able to put in even five consecutive right passes.

The first chance of redemption passes, in a few hours, from another commitment on paper to say the least convincing, on the field of a tough and square Trento, firmly second in the ranking and still on the hunt for the leading Cortefranca.
The Trento, we also admired it on the way, is one of the undisputed protagonists, for quality and numbers, of this championship. For our part, however, I expect maximum desire for redemption, because we know who we are and what we can give, what we can do to win and to show how we know how to express ourselves on the pitch when we square and work as a team for real. We must and want to demonstrate first of all that we are not those of last Sunday, but that the determination and the competitive malice are fundamental traits of our DNA. Performances like the one with Venezia are no longer allowed, we face a very tough team but we can play for it if we put our heads up, concentration and commitment.

How are you experiencing your first season with the rossoblù jersey in Vittorio Veneto, net of the physical problems that often gave you no respite during the year?
In Vittorio Veneto I feel very comfortable, I have bonded with some companions in particular but I get along well with all of them, and I believe that the great harmony that has been created with the whole environment is fundamental, even outside the aspects strictly related to the field. I have met valuable people with whom to live this experience well beyond ninety Sunday minutes and I am delighted to be in contact with this human and sporting reality so profound. I also very much appreciate the cheerfulness and availability of the entire management system. I couldn't have made a better choice last summer and, if I went back, I would do it again without delay and any hesitation.
